Headlines
Headline Use and Description
- A headline is a very bold text line which defines all subsequent sub-categories. It is like the title to a movie because whatever it is, it refers to the whole of the content.
- Use a headline as you would chapter titles in a book. A web site with many pages will have many headlines. When you create a site map, these headlines will tell a story about your web site.
- The headlines can be serious and hierarchical. Headlines can be descriptive or solicitious. They can also be whimsical and lyric. The tone and presentation of your web site will dictate how you wish to treat headlines.
Add Headline Button and Use
- The Add Headline button will create a large, colored, text element which can then be further modified using the element controls which are immediately below the Headline text box. Whatever is typed into the Headline text box can then be Previewed, using the blue Preview button at the bottom left of the editor window, or it can be Published, using the green Publish button right below the Preview button.
- When you push Publish you are creating the code and placing it on the web server.
- When you push Preview you are displaying the expected results from your previous actions but no changes will occur to the actual web server.
- Preview is useful for testing new ideas.
- Publish is useful if you're on a roll and you know what you're doing.

How to use
Element tools
Click this to kill the item.
Click on this to move an item further up on the page.
Click on this to move an item further down on the page.
Click on this to move the item to the top of the page.
Click on this to add space between the item and the one above it.
Click on this to remove space between the item and the one above it.
This is the text alignment tool. Click on the left button to align text to the left margin. Click on the right button to center the text.
The left side of the Show/Hide tool will show green if the element is visible. The right side will show red if the element is hidden. Click opposite to achieve opposite effect.
